WELCOME to my Single Parents Chat Group
Do you struggle with your teens?
Are you divorced or going through a divorce?
Are you faced with the challenges of being a single parent?
You are not alone.
My field of interest lies with adolescence, parenting, single parenting and divorce related issues.
The roller-coaster of adolescent years can seem overwhelming to any teen, and particularly to adolescents dealing with their parents’ divorce as well as for the parents themselves.
Even though each family and each divorce situation is different there are some basic rules you can follow to help you face these challenges.
The core of all resolution is establishing good communications.
An important thing to remember is that any children and teenagers alike need both parents in their lives.
It is the responsibility of the parents to acknowledge that the wellbeing of the children remains unchanged and stay a priority after divorce whatever custody arrangements have been made.
What we do to kids in childhood lasts forever.
Be assured that if you are feeling the pain of divorce, your child is too.
Do not bad mouth the other parent.
A child has the right to love both parents.
Be an example for your children.
Respect and acknowledge their feelings.
Understand your child. It is the greatest gift you can give them.
If what you truly want is the best for your children, do the right thing for them, even if it means compromising some parts of your life.
Do whatever you need to have your children experience the love they deserve from both parents. You owe it to them.
Allow them to have exactly what you have always wanted for them: Happiness.
Happiness is there birth right.
I would like also to inform that this "FORUM" must remain absolutely NON-JUDGMENTAL and NON-CRITICAL.
I want to provide a safe space for anyone to express freely and without fear whatever issue has been or is being encountered as a Single Parent.
We all make mistakes and we should all be given the opportunity to grow from them.
So, Moms, Dads, and whatever reason brought you to be a single parent, whether by choice or by fate, lets support each other in our sharing and in our quest to be the best parent we can be!
